“Real Housewives of the Potomac” graduate Monique Samuels admitted that her marriage to husband Chris Samuels “struggled in some areas” but they certainly did not get divorced.

“It’s no secret that Chris and I struggled in some areas of our marriage, and everyone who watched ‘Love & Marriage: DC’ last year, you’ve seen the arguments, you’ve seen everything that happened.” The former “Housewife” started as she took to YouTube on Monday to address the rumors.

“There was so much confusion, it was crazy to build up to the 10-year mark of our marriage, and when you’ve been married that long and you have things like, ‘Listen, that’s not being met or I’m’ you start to get annoyed that ‘I’m not heard’ and you’re like, ‘Oh my god, is this the way life is? will it be? I can’t take it anymore.’ So what you saw on ‘Love & Marriage: DC’ last season was my cry for help.”

Monique, 39, said she felt like the 45-year-old former NFL player didn’t listen when she said she had needs or some issues. She also added that she was always “100 percent” real, to the point where she puts herself out knowing “I will be judged.”

“So we’ve done a great job of being transparent with everyone who watches us on social media or on the show – both shows – the fact that people are praising a rumor of a divorce or the dissolution of a possible marriage. […] It’s sad that people are praising it, it’s sad that people are getting excited about it, and then you know, a lot of people who loved and supported our family were devastated.”

“Without further explanation, everyone knows that when you say the parting words, it implies divorce. Are Chris and I getting divorced? Number! Did we file a lawsuit? No. Are there any documents proving divorce cases? No. Did we break up long enough to break up? Number.”

The mother-of-three said they wanted to show the process behind mending their marriage as part of the upcoming season of “Love & Marriage: DC,” but had to give the story when rumors surfaced.

She explained that instead of filing for divorce, she and Chris decided to seek counseling individually to “work on their personal issues” and “focus on ourselves.”

“While we were on our counseling journeys, we decided to stay apart for a few nights,” he said. “We’re communicating much better than we’ve had in a long time.”

He continued, “We’re definitely still together, we haven’t given up on our marriage, we haven’t broken up, and we’re not considering divorce. We are just trying to be better.”

Chris, who remained silent for most of the statement, added that they found the rumors funny and were not impressed by them. However, he said, “it’s very disappointing and it’s a shame that people post things without confirming.”

“A lot of people were trying to throw Ashley under the bus. Ashley is innocent, leave her alone. She didn’t start these things,” he told fans.
